DRAMA MOMMAS
I just wanted to comment on mommy drama. I know all women are bitches, my brother tells me that all the time. I have a lot of confusion about how women can have so much drama going on...where the hell do they find the time and energy? I was so excited when I entered the parenting "club" and it seemed like at first, it was this wonderful world of helpful advice, warmth and understanding. I think once your baby hits 6 months the "other mother love" starts to spoil like Goo Goo's diaper in my trash can. Here are the 2 reasons why I am talking about this:
1. In my play date group (which I rarely participate in because I am a full-time working mom) there is this huge uproar going on. All I know is that I have been to a couple of play dates and everyone has been super cool. Then, I get this email from one of the group coordinators. Let's just say it wasn't pleasant. It was long and she kept referring to "HIGH MAINTENANCE" moms and basically telling them, in every way possible, that they can shove it. I guess I can't really say anything because I am pretty much an outsider in the group, but it was pretty unprofessional. It was one of those emails that you should write and then delete. I can't believe she sent it to all the moms, which I think there are like a 100 or something. It was uncomfortable.
2. I go on babycenter.com and I am a part of one of the birth month forums. I have been going on there since the day I got pregnant and there are so many women going through the same thing, so it's been really cool to not feel like I am the only one in the fat, ugly and scared boat. Anyway, lately these women have been ridiculous. People are getting kicked off! How do you get kicked off of a mommy forum? Good god women. Get a hold of yourselves! Who even cares enough to kick someone off? If I see some shit on there that is stupid I just don't read it. It's simple ladies. Maybe I just don't understand because I work all day. A month or so ago all these women were talking about calling social services on this chick for posting a pic of her baby with a beer bottle. Seriously, the baby was not drinking a beer. The baby was sucking on it because it was cold and it felt good on his gums.
To sum up what we have learned here today...Don't worry be happy...Keep it simple stupids' and get a F$#&@(* life ladies!
So there.

when people have too much time on their hands, bad things happen.... that's all there is to it.

i swear, some women seem to thrive on drama & no matter where they go or who they hang out with, they stir some up for the discomfort of all. i'll take boring over dramatic any day!
ReplyDeleteI think you might be onto something. This gonna sound weird but to be quite frank, I watch The Bachelorette because men can be good to eachother while competing against eachother for a woman's affections. Women on the other hand, I can't watch The Bachelor because of the women's behavior. It's embarrassing. And as a fellow woman..well...I would have to agree with Kelly.
ReplyDeleteTook the words right out of my mouth. I have been going on babycenter less and less. All the drama threads get all the attention. I went on there to make friends with other mama's cause I don't really have a lot of friends. But, all I get is drama. I rarely post on there either. I'll comment on the funny, good things but will never keep the drama bumped.
ReplyDeletePS, your LO is a doll as always ;)
