Shelfing

This wouldn't be a blog without mentioning the "planking" craze.  WTF.  I can see how it was funny the first time.  I mean, sitting there drunk or stoned with some friends, and one of you is like "wouldn't it be hilarious if you were just lying down on your desk when your co-worker walked in".  I could see it as funny.  The fact that it is a worldwide phenomenon...that just shows you how many people smoke weed in this world.
Serena is a pioneer.  She has started the "shelfing" craze.  I would say "shelving" but that is not accurate.
Here she is in all her glory.

CAUTION!!!!!!
Only do this on the bottom shelf people.  Not on the top of a 20 story building.  Lay off the weed people.

Application Schmaplication

It has been a really long time since I have written an application, unless you include the application I filled out to have my baby.  Which I flubbed.  Don't ask.  I am attempting to join the Junior League of Tallahassee .  I know I don't really fit the description of a member, but I would like to be!  Is that sad?  Since moving here to small town Tallahassee and having left all of my friends behind, I feel the DEEP YEARNING to take over Tallahassee...since it is so small and I am such a badass.  Seriously though, I want to start helping out my community and making more friends and meeting new people with kids that Serena can throw things at.  I tried my best to make myself sound awesome.  It was hard.  If you know me, you know how awesome I am, but ask me about my professional affiliations and past do-gooderness (yes I said that word) and I am at a loss.  Doesn't it count that I want to be a better person for my community?  I think so.  I mean, I was captain of my freshman cheerleading squad!  Alex assured me that if they didn't accept me, we could burn the place down.  He has a sick humor.  So, JLT....accept me for who I am...just accept me....you'll see how awesome I am.

Boredom Cupcakes

Twice this week I made cupcakes out of boredom.  I got rained in.  I was trying to not eat as much food as I usually do, in hopes that I can stop feeling bloated.  Instead, I made cupcakes...and ate a lot of them.  Cupcakes = yummy little bitches.
I gave a bunch away too.  That was my charitable donation.
Here are some pics I took.  Serena helped me by making a mess of the pantry and then getting pissed off that I wouldn't let her play with a jug of vinegar and the open box of cornmeal.
There's video too!

The Ex-Files

I think it's pretty cool that when you hear a certain song, it takes you back to a certain place in time.  I don't know how I got a certain song in my head, but it took me right back to hanging out with my ex.  Not a sex-capade, but just a memory.  I wanted to list some songs/bands that remind me of my exes (there are so many...lol) and a memory.

Ex #1
Middle school, any Celine Dion, being in his room and him giving me a gold "TAKEN" charm he (his mother) bought me.

Ex #2
High School, doing things I shouldn't be doing in the back of a cadillac (not my grandfather's...you sicko's), listening to some kind of rap I think, possibly Jay Z

Ex #3
Long-time high school boyfriend, smoking things I shouldn't be smoking, surfing, going to concerts, getting coffee, acting stupid, listening to any and all Sublime and Pink Floyd, also his favorite song was Sitting on the Dock of the Bay

Ex #4
(is this list too long?)
playing golf for the first time, hiding smoking things I shouldn't smoke from him, going to concerts, listening to Virgot's Merlot and all different types of 90's alternative

Husband #1
(just kidding...husband forever, can't leave him out!)
Missing him being out to sea for 4 months, going to concerts, listening to Alkaline Trio and Interpol, any kind of old school country (he loves his Waylon and Johnny Cash), learning to play the guitar, writing music.

That brings me to now.  Usually when I think of any of these people I play said music in the background.  Music is some seriously powerful stuff.
